Growing up in a large family from Connecticut, I’ve always been surrounded by love and food. Our family gatherings would consist of these massive grazing boards where friends and family members would stand around the table of food, laugh and tell stories. Throughout the years I found myself in some amazing opportunities opening Asia de Cuban in NYC and Social in LA, along with running events in Connecticut, The Hamptons, NYC, Miami and Los Angeles. Continuing to advance my career I’ve been blessed to work along side Jeffrey Chodorow and Ian Schrager. Their wealth of experience and knowledge has proven to be priceless, which I continue to draw from today. Deciding to settle down in Los Angeles, CA while starting a family with my husband and daughter, I took classes and graduated from a Master Chef program in Los Angeles. Shortly after I started working as a private chef leading me to work for the Norwegian Film Festival and the Oscar's Lifetime Achievement Award events. Continuing my food journey from childhood, I specialize in creating over the top eye catching grazing boards. My boards create an atmosphere that provides a central location at every event for people to meet for conversation. It brings me joy whenever I see groups of people enjoying something I created and eating like my love ones often did when I was younger. Born and raised in New York. I was blessed to experience amazing food from my family and the countless wonderful cuisines that surrounded my area. I am half Filipino and French. Family from both sides have spoiled me growing up with the diverse cuisines. Introducing me to different food than what a normal American kid would get to enjoy. I attended The Culinary Institute of America (CIA) for a year. Afterwards, I jumped in to kitchens and catering companies. Most of what I've learned over the years has come from my hands on experience working with different chefs and wonderful people. I LOVE learning new recipes and techniques. I get a bit excited and scared when a client would like me to make something from their home country that I've never done before. I'm always up for the challenge. For me, cooking has become a competitive sport trying to make each dish better than the last time I've had it. I travel to embrace the different cultures and learn about their food, spices, and traditions. Food is my vehicle of communication and appreciation.
